Missing Profiles

PongLeague regrets to inform the public that any user that signed up between Feb. 10th and Feb. 16th, your username no longer exists in our database.

Our databases were mistakenly running on our old dedicated server that we maxed out six days ago. When we transferred everything over to the new server, everything appeared to be working fine, but our databases were still running on the old server.

The problem has now been resolved. We will no longer have any database issues. If you were one of the unfortunate members who lost their profile, please don't hesitate to sign up again. You can sign up under the same username as you did before. If you were at the event, your stats will still be preserved.

PongLeague looks forward to seeing you at the next tournament and apologizes for any inconvenience.

Statistics for the January 26th Tournament at Buffalo Wild Wings have been posted

On your profile, your stats from the night are currently under "match 3". Soon to be renamed.
Click on the Title of the tournament to view every ones statistics from the night. If you would like a more in depth analysis (Game by Game Breakdown) select the user name you would like to view and their stats will appear in the top window.

Congratulations to Dustin from Pocket Full of Change (Does Not have a Profile) for having the highest single game shooting percentage at 100% !! Also, having the longest shooting streak @ 9.


Notes:

Shooting Percentage (S%) How often you made a cup. Is completely accurate.
Hit Streak (HS) How many cups you hit in a row. Is accurate when you get a game by game analysis for the individual. When you look at the overall, the computer added the HS for every game together. If you would like to view your average hit streak, add each games HS together and divide that by total games.
First Shot Percentage (FS%) How often you made the first shot. Is only tracking if you actually took the first shot for each of your games. Not who made the first cup. This is an error and will be fixed.
Average Cups Per Game (AVG) How many cups you hit on average during the tournament. Is showing inaccurately on the overall stats page. If you go to each players game by game results, the number under AVG is how many cups they made that game. If you would like an average you can add all of the numbers up in this column and divide that by the number of games played.
1C%/2C%/3C%/ is reporting completely inaccurately. This problem has been identified and is already resolved.
4-6%/7-10% is reporting accurately. These percentages represent how you shot when you had this amount of cups on the table.

Every additional statistic shown on the grid is currently reporting inconsistently. Including Wins and Losses. Each of the problems have already been identified and taken care of for the next event. Pongleague.net has created a social network where beer pong players are given rank determined by their performance. With 30 plus statistics tracked for individuals worldwide via referees and hand held PDA's,pongleague is making the game official.

Momentous steps are currently being made towards the organization and unification of beer pong. Currently beer pong is known as the most popular and competitive drinking game in the world. However, the status of the game has grown so much, that its competitive nature has taken precedence. There are no longer beer pong games at parties, there are parties at beer pong games. With tournaments and leagues sprouting up worldwide, beer pong is taking the collective social life by storm. As every game is being played, the perspective of the game is changed from a drinking game and into a sport. The time has come for a company to emerge and bring structure to the sport, so that it can reach its full potential. That company is Pongleague.net and they are going to do it for free!

Pongleague.net can best be described as a social network for beer pong players. Using rules first implemented by the World Series of Beer Pong, Pongleague.net is more then just a place to view personal information. It is a place where individual game stats are kept, allowing you to track your personal progression from game to game. In addition, the site functions like many social networking sites; where you can have friends, add comments and maintain photo albums. In official tournaments, all of your personal game statistics are tracked electronically on handheld PDA’s by officials and wirelessly uploaded into our database. From there, game statistics are then displayed on your personal profile. In order to create a ranking system, we run every user's statistics through a very elaborate weighted algorithm which converts them into a single "index" number. Each player's index is then compared to every other index on the network. You can then compare your rank with others in the same school, city, region or state. You can even see how you stack up against the entire nation. By tracking statistics electronically, we can track every stat you can possibly imagine. Making the game into a respectable sport is our primary objective and we have all systems in place to make that happen. Thanks to our software, you are able to locate tournaments going on nationwide, register and pay for everything online. Our site also gets the community involved by helping others establish relationships with venues and coordinate events.
